Shannon Jade Warner - About Me
Shannon Jade Warner is a photographer and director based on the Gold Coast whose artistic journey began early through drawing, painting, and directing short films with friends in her backyard. Raised travelling with her family, she often found herself stealing the family camera along the way, discovering an instinctive love for documenting fleeting moments through beauty and light.
Although she did not come from a creative upbringing, Warner developed her artistic voice through intuition, experimentation, and years of independently refining her craft. Working with limited resources became a strength — encouraging her to rely on atmosphere, emotion, and storytelling rather than excess.
After graduating with a Diploma of Photography & Photo Imaging in 2018, Warner travelled throughout Europe, India and Japan, capturing unfamiliar landscapes and intimate moments with the hope of one day transforming the work into collectible photographic prints.
Raised between the romanticism of the 1960s and the internet-born visual culture of the early 2000s, Warner developed an aesthetic that blends nostalgia with modern femininity. Inspired by the dreamlike worlds of MySpace-era photography and Tumblr storytelling, her work resembles a contemporary vintage magazine brought to life.
Inspired by the intersection of beauty, business, and cinema, she naturally evolved into a career spanning content marketing and visual storytelling.
On a mission to combine light with the beauty of life, Warner has spent nearly a decade refining her craft across strategy, branding, graphic design, social media, photography, and film.
Through travel, observation, intuition and an ongoing study of light, her work continues to move toward something more artistic and emotionally driven, with the hope of being seen not simply as a photographer, but as an artist.
